The Architechtonics of Film

As part of the eleventh Mois Multi, Antitube brings you two masterpieces rarely shown in Quebec: two radical works by renowned filmmakers Jacques Tati and Federico Fellini, whose vision topples conventional notions of time and space. Quebec audiences will find Tati’s Playtime and Fellini’s Roma to be compelling examples of their authors’ constant, courageous, unbridled search for new forms. Such landmarks in film history still afford a fresh perspective on our own times, especially the visual clutter of signs that mars the urban landscape.
